Who Inspires You
Three mini books based on real life inspirational women in the city of Portsmouth.
I worked with three groups of young adults who wrote the stories. Collaboratively we developed ideas of what each page could show.
The books were read to children within the community and handed out to boost literacy
rates in the city and inspire children.
Susie and the Ship
First in an exciting series of books following the character Susie Benedict who meets real life inspiring women working within the marine industry.
This story has everything including adventure, history, magic and her cute little dog called Eggs.
Commissioned by SLR Recruitment the books aim is to inspire young people especially girls to work within the marine sector by showing them amazing jobs through storytelling.
That Not Sure Feeling
A personal passion project based on the theme of separation anxiety. This short story captures real life relatable moments where Ella struggles with big emotions. Her parents try their best to help and with a little help she turns not sure moments into sure ones.
Cling On
This book the second in the series based on separation anxiety captures a young boys need to cling on to his parents. Written in rhyme this books has beautifully illustrated moments of joy and frustration.
